DAE in lockdown, education continues online

13 Mar 20

Due to the threat of the Corona virus the following decision has been made:

From Monday 16 March on DAE will switch to 100% distance learning and The Level will go into lock down. This means that from Monday on there will be no DAE classes being taught in person on any Howest site. The Level  and other Howest campuses will be closed for students.

This is not a panic decision. The decision is being made mainly out of a sense of social responsibility. Our students and team are not among the big risk groups. But we can be the carriers that bring the virus to the elder people and other risk groups. With DAE we want to contribute as much as possible to the containment of this virus and therefore we made this drastic decision. Especially since The Level can be pretty crowded from time to time.
