Game for Thought is a monthly video and podcast series howest by Howest DAE since 2020. It adresses ethically relevant topic in the games and digital entertainment industry. Follow us on Youtube and Spotify as we tackle a different topic each month, such as discrimination and representation in games, crunch time and well-being, sustainability, user experience, cognitive psychology in games, and more!

Hosted by Allie Weis, we'll critically evaluate topics at the intersection of games and digital entertainment, ethics, and society. We'll explore the impacts and implications of industry developments while reflecting upon our responsibilities as creators, addressing the capacity of games to transcend its virtual reality. How does the games world affect the contemporary world beyond the screens - and vice versa?

Celia Hodent is a renowned expert in game user experience (UX) and applied cognitive science. Formerly the Director of User Experience at Epic Games, she holds a PhD in Psychology and is now a consultant concerning topics like game UX strategy, gamification, applied cognitive science for ethical design, implicit biases, and ethics.
