For Compositing 1 our first year students brought these historical photographs back to life with 2.5D parallax techniques to create moving shots with an illusion of depth. They used Photoshop to cut up the footage into separate parts & After Effects to create the rudimentary 2.5D scenes, adding typography and other graphical effects on top.
